The type and location of vibration target can be determined by the analysis of vibration data, which is an important research in the field of perimeter security. After learning the identification and positioning technology of ground vibration target at home and abroad,algorithm of recognizing vibration target based on the time series similarity search is studied,and is compared with the typical methods of identification and localization. Finally, the prototype system of recognizing and positioning vibration target is developed. The main content of this paper is as follows:? For the identification of vibration target, the algorithm of recognizing vibration target based on time series similarity search is put put forward in this paper. The main pattern sequences and subsequences in the pattern base has been matched, which result out the number of matching sequences. It will be the theoretic supplement of recognition of vibration target. And the algorithm of target recognition based on the number of passing zero and the algorithm of target recognition based on Welch power spectrum have been implemented. They are used to compare to the proposed algorithm which will be introduced in this paper. At last,the experimental results show that the algorithm of recognizing vibration target based on time series similarity search, the accuracy of which is 91.67%, is better than the above-mentioned two algorithms.? For the location of vibration target, the method of time delay estimation based on time series similarity search is put forward in this paper, which uses the time series similarity search to determine arrival time difference between vibration waves. And the estimation of time delay is the core of algorithm based on the Time Difference of Arrival. What is more, the time delay estimation method based on generalized cross-correlation has been implemented to compare to the proposed algorithm. Fianlly, the experimental results show that the method oftime delay estimation based on time series similarity search can improve the accuracy of positioning vibration targets. The mean percentage error of pole diameter and polar angle is decreased by 45.53% and 9.80% respectively.? The system of vibrating target identification and positioning is implemented in this paper, including hardware system and software system. Hardware system is mainly composed of ARM11 processor, vibration sensors, signal conditioning circuit, power supply and computer. Software system function mainly includes the data acquisition function, vibration target recognition and location function. The experimental results show that the system can effectively identify the type of vibration target and can estimate the location of vibration target accurately. It has reached the expected goal.
