The core of China Manufacturing 2025 is industrialization and informatization, which is the direction of current manufacturing development. Currently, the data transmission and real-time monitoring tools in multi-source data collection of intelligent workshop, are lagging behind and it is difficult to meet requirements in efficient, real-time, accurate data exchange and analysis for manufacturing plant. The characteristics of automatic identification technology in IOT and the mutual respect of things in wireless sensor networks has a technical advantages of efficiency and convenience, which provides a good technical support in multi-source information collection and intelligent data analysis and application.The necessity of the application of ZigBee and video surveillance in workshop monitoring is explained in this paper, after the analysis of data types and collection methods in intelligent workshop. ZigBee wireless sensor networks can overcome the shortcomings of cable transmission, and it is self-organization. On this basis, data center software for ZigBee data acquisition system are designed and developed. When the workshop monitoring requirements change, monitoring system can add and configure nodes flexibly, which increases the intelligence of the workshop monitoring system in some extent. The video surveillance is introduced into the monitoring system innovatively. And the functions in application are analyzed in this paper. The B/S and C/S structure software are completed in the support of the camera's SDK, which are suitable for local shop and enterprise integration. The video surveillance makes full use of the comprehensive, transparent video and picture messages.And on this basis, PLC-based data acquisition modules for assembly line is integrated.According to the workshop monitoring requirements, the architecture of real-time monitoring system for workshop is build. The workshop monitoring system prototype based on B/S is realized by using of development framework, Ajax and other technologies. The system can easily be integrated with other B/S system, and it has a good support for mobile.
