With the popularity of3G high-speed wireless network and the quick improvement of the ability of microprocessor,the applications and way of Intelligent video monitoring is witnessing profound changes.The video monitoring system based on3G can transmit the signal which has been Captured and compressed by coding through3G network,no longer subject to geographical environment, field environment, and circuit resources so on. For the backend of the monitoring, mobile terminal can be through the3G network to view and manage monitoring video, and master the situation anytime and anywhere timely,without having to look in front of the monitor display.For the current video surveillance system,in general,video acquisition, video processing and video storage are separated from each other. For some of the more simple, it shows high cost and low resource utilization, and poor real-time performance. As a result,the study that research a way to design a lowcost wireless intelligent video monitoring system which can realize video acquisition, processing, storage and transmission is necessary. Against this background,t his paper taking the TMS320DM6446(also referrenced as DM6446) as the core processor, with today’s3G technology designing out of a intelligent wireless video monitoring system which shows low cost, high efficiency, high integration density. The system put the video acquisition, analysis, storage, transfer, and consolidation, into the front of the monitor system. It has two characteristics:first, the network is simple, and occupy less bandwidth at the same time; second, not only to the analysis of video in real time, also designed a variety of modes of data transmission based on video analysis, and greatly reduce the cost of storage and transmission.In this paper, the main work includes the following aspects:(1) Study the current applications which can give full play to the advantages of3G video monitoring and control system, designed the overall architecture of3G video monitoring system and have a certain understanding for its communication process.(2) With modular method to do the3g video monitoring front-end hardware design, including video collection part, video processing and video storage and video transmission part, and draw the circuit principle diagram of each part.(3) Study the transplantation and application of software on DM6446, mainly has the transplantation of bootloader, the transplantation of the kernel and root file system and the transplantation of peripheral drive. Designed the application software of transmission part.(4) In SEED-DVS6446platform, validate the function of video collection and video transmission.
