Video observing and recording, as a new method of recording and observation, has the advantages of visual scene recording and diverse data containing. Compared to the traditional recording and observing way by text, it uses the camera node as fore-end for data-compiling and uses video-processing way for data analysis, which made recorded data real and rich, and contributed to getting accurate conclusions. So it has a widely application value in the field of military, education, health-caring, sports and many areas of scientific research.In this paper, we make the realization of a common video observation and recording system as the research purpose and unfold in-depth study mainly around data-acquisition of single video node, synergetic response on multi-node data receiving, data classification storage in Oracle database and data retrieval interface. The main work and innovation of this paper are as follows:1.Analysis the overall framework, basic features and design requirements of a video observing and recording system, study the feasibility of the system program, present a practical solution with front-end data acquisition based on IP camera, video management based on Oracle database and data retrieval based on C/S mode. This solution has the characteristics of flexible camera node placement and classificationly video data recording.2.Based on the principle of video node, design the function module and thread structure for node data acquisiting, realize the data acquisiting by writing a MFC program, study the design requirement of multi-node data acquisiting and optimized the process based on data label, thread synchronization and thread management.3.According to the characteristics of multi-node data-management, present a video classification description model based on its basic property, keyframe summary, underlying structure and original data. Analysis the existing methods of video data management based on Oracle, realize the video classify description model with Oracle Inter Media technology and OCI interface.4. In order to improve the data transporting efficiency and relieve the bandwidth pressure, present a stepwise-returning mechanism of data-retrieval results, realize the data retrieval interface based on Oracle remote-access technology, by which Oracle returns the basic properties, keyframe summary and original data gradually of video which matched the retrieval conditions.5.Built a test platform system with the IP camera of Heng An company, Oracle database, video observing and recording software and client software, test the system's functions and capacity of multi-node capacitance-load, at last verify the feasibility of the system program.
