Study And Development Of Monitor And Management System For AS/RS

Along with the rapid development of modern logistics, the automated storage &retrieval systems(AS/RS) are widely used in all walks of life due to large capacity of storage space, high efficient way of logistic service and low labor costs. The monitor and management system could track the work process, simplify the operation and improve the warehouse management level. It contribute to providing an efficient, scientific and simple solution for AS/RS. In this paper, according to the AS/RS project requirements of a company, a monitor and management system for AS/RSs is completed.First of all, the working process of logistics phase in this company is analyzed. Based on this, the requirements of the monitor and management system for AS/RSs are proposed.The architecture of the system is determined by the combination of warehouse layout and hardware equipments. And the system functional requirements and non-functional requirements are put forward through the UML modeling.Secondly, according to the analysis of system requirements, the overall design of the whole system is completed from the aspects of system function, communication network and database. The system function includes system management, basic information management, ERP tasks management, storage management, query function, state information display and other auxiliary functions. The communication network is divided into two parts. One is the network between AS/RS to the ERP system. And the other is internal communication network in the warehouse. The database is MySQL, its structure is designed through analyzing the system functions.Finally, the control program of stackers and conveyors is analyzed. Then, the software of epigynous computer is based on MFC(Microsoft Foundation Class)framework.The monitor and management system has been applied in AS/RS. It could meet therequirements of AS/RS fully and improve the management level of warehouse.
