As the expansion of network scale and the service provided by it becomes more complex. Distributed Network Management technique is increasingly used in the network management of communications area. In order to reduce the cost of heterogeneous networks management and use current basic foundation. This paper shows a new model of the architecture of multi-layer networks management, designed for working in heterogeneous networks. The model proposes a new technologic choice to those existing in the scope of distributed middle-ware and object-oriented technology. It is mainly implemented with CORBA and Web Services components, which has realistic significance and extensive practical foreground in digital-monitor-network management. This paper fully studies the different aspects of network management technique based-on the research of YSS digital-monitor systems. We introduce a new aspect, Multi-Layers Network Management System (MLNMS), and its main achievements are as follows:1. MLNMS includes three new network management layers for controlling and monitoring the different network elements in heterogeneous networks. The first layer, which is called Net Cell Layer (NCL), composes of all locale devices or SCADA which is used for data collection. The second layer is the special field child-networks in power, energy, auto manufacture, etc. The highest layer in MLNMS refer to arecent popular term——Web Service. Web Services interlinks software platformsand communication systems based on Extensible Markup Language (XML) technology and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) . We use the working mechanism of Web Services in CORBA environment, in which Web Services acts as the middle-ware. A wide selection of available Web technology and network protocols makes it extremely easy to operate MLNMS and to develop tools for.2. Net cells of special child-networks are enveloped using CORBA IDL interface to invoke the CORBA-based services directly, using the Internet Inter-ORB Protocol (HOP). The communications between special child-networks as distributed objects are under CORBA environment, following the middle layer of applying CORBA/Web Services compound agent that user interface components provide service to each other. A network manager uses a Web browser to access an agent. The agent is a Web server that carries the manager's commands from the GUI (network terminal). Network management application (such as GUI) on the design for accessing distributed networks. Based on this method the heterogeneous networks can be monitored andnetworks. Based on this method the heterogeneous networks can be monitored and managed.3. As MLNMS is based on Web technology, it has an open architecture. On one hand, this makes interaction with other applications easy;On the other hand, there are virtually many attacks that can compromise the transmission of a message for importing of the third layer(the mainly reason). The need for a secure network management system, which is reliable and highly mobile, led to the new Security Model process with combined envelop method design of MLNMS, designed for working in multi-layer networks environment. It is mainly implemented with security service based on CORBA, CA identification and content DirectShow Editing Services (DES) encrypted for XML which is a Web Services component. MLNMS Security Model proposes a new view to combine those existing encryption techniques in the scope of multi-layer networks characteristic and CORBA/XML technology. In this scheme, network managers can securely monitor and control the network elements from any station on the MLNMS.In the end, we summarize the primary content in this paper and state some further work in the future.
