Differential Binary Phase Shift Keying(DBPSK) modulation is widely used in the field of modern communication and is often applied to satellite, microwave and some other communication systems. Recently, with the development of the large scale integrated circuit and the software radio techniques, DBPSK modulation and demodulation obtain a wide range of application in the field of wireless communication. In this paper, DBPSK communication system is studied and the FPGA implementation is accomplished. This paper mainly includes the following four aspects:Firstly, the design scheme of DBPSK communication system is presented according to the digital communication theory. The scheme mainly incorporates modulation parameters, data frame structure of physical layer and transmitter/ receiver architecture.Secondly, the models and parameters of transmitter/receiver are described. Then the relevant algorithm simulations are achieved by using MATLAB. Furthermore, the FPGA realization scheme of transmitter/receiver is put forward and the related program design is completed with Verilog language.Thirdly, the analysis of DDC/DUC and Costas carrier synchronization loop is made. Then the key design parameters are obtained by making use of MATLAB simulation. What's more, the FPGA implementation of DDC/DUC and Costas carrier synchronization loop is accomplished with Verilog language. At last, hardware design and test are implemented on Xilinx Viretx5 FPGA platform, internal signals in FPGA are observed by ChipscopePro. Finally, system performance test is achieved.
