Rough Ontology Based Retrieval For Control Valve Products

Due to the increasing development of network, computer’s main fuction is not merely a calculation machine but an entrance of information channel.Then,Information volumes on internet have been increasing sharply in an information age, information retrieval technology becomes increasingly important and urgent.Now, people are accustomed to search information on the base of text, however,traditional keyword retrieval hardly support people’s requirements of efficient semantic search. So, a retrieval method based on ontology turns up. Compared with traditional keyword retrieval, ontology-based retrieval has certain advantages but insufficient precision, thereby reducing the recall ratio of retrieval. Rough set theory can well provide supplementary information to ontology-based retrieval so as to effectively make up for the deficiency of incomplete search results. Therefore, rough ontology, constructed from rough set theory and ontology in this paper, tries to ensure the recall ratio and precision ratio to provide more appropriate results of efficient semantic search for the users.Aiming at this goal, the main work of this paper are detailed as follows:1. Combining ontology with rough set to establish rough ontology model;2. Based on rough ontology, establishing the semantic extension of hypernym and hyponym for control valve product to strengthen the information retrieval capacity;3. Creating a retrieval system for control valve product by retrieval technology basing on semantic extension and rough ontology to validate the correctness of retrieval method on rough ontology.
