A Method For Building Semantic Web Rough Ontology

Semantic Web rough ontology is an extension of the ontology in the usual sense. Ontology expresses the accuracy concept and the accuracy relation between accuracy concepts, but the rough ontology is corresponding to the rough concept and the rough relation between rough concepts. Rough ontology is an acceptance about the uncertainty world, and it is an effective tool of knowledge procession and knowledge application.Rough ontology is a basic tool to handle imprecise information, its form is a tree composed by the rough concepts and the rough relation. The concrete form of rough ontology appears multiplicity because of the different domain expert participating in constructing it, but the structure of rough concept lattice also composed of the rough concepts and the rough relation is of uniqueness. Thus it can use the similarity of the composition and the structure of lattice and tree to construct rough ontology, realize the lattice-tree transforming for building semantic Web rough ontology. Constructing rough ontology from practical domain is applied to support the practical operation of the semantic Web more closely to the real world, which is the research target and the technical route of this paper. The main research contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly, extract rough concepts. Rough concepts are extracted from some imprecise iformation. A rough concept is composed by the upper approximation extent and the lower approximation extent and the intent. In the extracting process, transforming multi-valued formal context to one-value formal context is the most important step.Secondly, build rough concept lattice. To construct rough concept lattice, a gradual method is adopted. The father-son relationship between rough concepts is created when generating all rough concept nodes, then a rough concept lattice is formed.Thirdly, transform to rough concept tree. Rough concept lattice is transformed to rough concept tree by clustering technology, which use the similarity between concepts to merge concepts to make the concepts of low similarity into a category.Fourthly, generate semantic Web rough ontology. Based on the study of rough formal concept analysis applied to rough ontology building, a rough concept tree is processed to transform the rough ontology, and OWL is used to describe rough ontology, then transforming rough concept tree to semantic Web rough ontology is realized. Finally, carry out example verification. The feasibility and practical value of the lattice-tree transforming method of building semantic Web rough ontology can be verificated.
