With rapid development of Internet technology, online education has become a hot topic in the current development of education systems, more and more teachers are implementing their teaching through e-learning platforms. However, teaching preparation is an essential part of the teaching process, and it plays a very important role in ensuring the quality of both teaching and learning. Collaborative preparation through network allows teachers to prepare lessons through online session, from which teachers can share resources and discuss with each other, and also use network resources efficiently. It achieves synchronized asynchronous work, and improves the efficiency of preparation, and also realizes collaborative preparation. To appropriately address these concerns, we put forward a pilot study in hope to design a collaborative preparation system.In this thesis, we present the design of collaborative preparation system. At first, it prepares the primary teachers in the local autonomous system. It includes designing teaching goals, teaching sequence, selecting the desired teaching materials from the resource server, and associating them with the sequences. To make it convenient for teachers to view and choose, teaching resources are managed by using category management and document version control mode, which provides a method of updating the documents. In second phase, the teaching goals, teaching sequence, teaching resources are presented which helps in real-time synchronization. The teachers can discuss in real-time about the video, whiteboard, notes and discussion boards. The teaching resources can be shared by the resource server to the teachers. Finally, primary teacher can determine the entire teaching program after acquiring the opinions of participating teachers, the determined teaching programs will be rendered and can be used for future teaching sessions. The system is designed based on teaching resources management mechanism, real-time synchronization mechanism of interactive discussion and resources presentation, and interactive records process mechanism. The system is implemented mainly to achieve the following three key modules: teaching program design and management module; interactive discussions management and teaching resources management module; interactive records process and teaching program generation module.This thesis designs and implements a collaborative preparation system to solve problems in current teaching systems. The results through functional and performance tests show that this collaborative preparation system has complete functions, and all of the functions are running well, while network delay of this system is small, which achieves the real-time synchronization requirement of system.
