China Mobile started a large-scale construction of OTN equipment from 2014.The OTN network has already carried high bandwidth services such as IDC and 100 G cloud computing. It even beared VIP customer services and LTE services. OTN has a large bandwidth(core layer is 100GE), even now to 400 G evolution. So it demands a very high requirements for network reliability. Research on OTN protection switching mechanism in the research field of the OTN technology becomes an important work. AT present, the OTN network of Shanghai Mobile mainly uses linear point to point 1+1 protection. Due to the continuous development on the the network scale and the development of the 4G scale to the urban, the OTN network sink to the convergence layer and access layer. When a complex situation on more points of optical path failure in the network, the method of OTN protection becomes more particularly important. Also it becomes more important to guarantee the expansive scale network, and make the services more reliable and stable.In this paper, according to the Shanghai mobile existing OTN network characteristics, we research the protection mechanism for the OTN sinking to the convergence layer through the analysis of the main protection mode of OTN: single point linear protection and double point double loop network protection mode. The innovation point is:First, set the point that the combined application of double point linear protection and SNC/N protection technology in the convergence layer and access layer.Second, for the first time simulation test of building a single point linear protection model and a double point network protection model. technical index calculation of measured data and algorithm.Finally through the experiment data, comparative analysis of the experimental results the protection mode of double point ring protection and SNC protection combining can be achieved solving the fiber broken failure after OTN network sinking to convergence layer. It can provide security and reliability of network.
