At present, the construction of data center in our country has entered a stage of rapid development, large scale data centers are emerging. Precision air conditioning system energy consumption account for the overall data center 30%- 50%. Annual energy consumption of data centers in China is up to 70 billion kilowatt-hour, has reached 1.5% of the total electricity consumption in our society. Therefore, the study of the method in data center energy saving of air conditioning system is of great significance.Through research on the airflow organization of data center, put forward the difference between actual air-conditioning PUE and academic PUE lies in the unreasonable air distribution. By CFD simulation theory combined with practical engineering, the analysis of the existing air distribution schemes, such as under floor air supply way, funnel cap air supply way, vent air supply way and in-row way, show the advantages and disadvantages of them.Then the text summed up the improvement and development direction. According to the actual needs of the data center, put forward Innovative vertical supply air precision air conditioning and its derivative assembly modular data center solutions.The solution of vertical airflow organization has a lot of advantage, such as short air circulation path, lower air resistance, higher efficiency of wind machine system, smaller occupied area, etc. In an example of typical data center model, respectively using the current mainstream under floor air supply scheme, in-row scheme and the vertical air supply scheme construction, and analysis of three different air distribution scheme by using CFD simulation for the effect of temperature field, flow field and energy consumption in the air conditioning system.The new vertical air supply project make up the assembly data center solutions. By the optimization airflow organization, the air flow field distribution more uniform, temperature field more reasonable, also energy consumption facto of fan system r can drop from 0.0492 to 0.0267. The new solution can save 45.7% power of indoor precision air fan system than the conventional scheme. Indoor part of a data center with 1600 k W IT load using the solution, in the whole life cycle,can save 2968500 k Wh of electricity. This program has a great investment value.
