Laser communication is a high speed data rate of free space, which has the advantages of high frequency, high security, good direction and strong anti-interference ability. Since laser communication is a wireless communication, it is not easy to be interrupted or tapped,and the relative cost is low, which makes the development in the area of military and aviation.Now the laser communication system is usually required to be modulated by the signal loaded into the electro optic intensity modulator to achieve the modulation output, so the study on the electro optic intensity modulator and the driving source is very important.In this paper, the research on the driving technology of JDSU-10 G type electro optic intensity modulator is realized with the modulation bandwidth of 2.5GHz, the average bit error rate is710-, and the laser wavelength is 1550 nm. The driving source is mainly composed of the RF power amplifier circuit and the automatic bias control circuit, Through the ADS simulation software, the design of the RF power amplifier circuit is realized, which can meet the requirements of the design. At the same time, the relationship between the bias voltage and the DC bias voltage is deduced, and the control signal is used to realize the bias point. Finally, the whole system is analyzed, and the feasibility of the system is verified.
