In this paper, according to the theoretical analysis and experimental measurement of electro-optic modulator's transmission characteristic, an electro-optic modulator bias control method based on virtual instrument technology is proposed. This method can greatly improve the stability of the electro-optic modulator. So it plays an important role in high precision and high spatial resolution fiber-optic sensor system. According to this method, a system was designed and some relevant experimental results show that with the disturbance signal of 100mV the extinction ratio can at least improve 12.3dB, which proved the feasibility of the program. Finally, according to this method, an electro-optic modulator automatically bias control hardware system based on the AVR microcontroller is designed. |
