A left-handed structure of millimeter wave lens 16 microstrip array antenna based on the working frequency is 35 GHz designed according to design requirements.Research contents: research points as the theoretical calculation and simulation, theoretical calculation mainly derive the far-field radiation characteristics, size of each part of the antenna; simulation part mainly according to the theory calculation model, and uses HFSS simulation function, verify the theoretical calculated values.Solution methods:1. Using transmission line modeling method analysis of the microstrip antenna far field electric field strength, and calculate the far field pattern, and accordingly calculated e H plane pattern, according to the impedance analysis to deduce the resonant frequency of the antenna, using the cavity model method deducing antenna gain and radiation efficiency, root according to theoretical calculation formula to calculate the size of microstrip antenna and in HFSS construction simulation model.2. Derivation of array antenna factor directivity function, and combined with the microstrip antenna is derived microstrip array antenna far field electric field strength formula, according to the calculation of microstrip array antenna far field pattern, and derive the array antenna beam angular width calculation formula, according to beam angle calculation formula deduce microstrip array antenna streak spacing and in accordance with the theory value 16 Microstrip Array antenna design, the simulation compared with the theoretical data.3. According to ray tracing method for millimeter wave lens geometry is, the selected lens material, determine the size of the lens, deduced from millimeter wave microstrip lens array antenna far field electric field, is derived and a far field function, according to pattern is derived when the beam angle width calculation formula, gain formula. According to the derived geometric structure theory of value of millimeter wave microstrip lens array antenna design, simulation compared with the theoretical value, analysis the cause of the error.4. Properties of the left-handed material, theory analysis of SRR as a reflector of the feasibility, SRR as a reflective substrate into the design of millimeter wave microstrip lens array antenna, simulation and comparison with left-hand structure of the radiation characteristics of the antenna.
