With the rapid progress in management science, present-day enterprises are increasingly looking to apply standardized, fine and customized management in their daily operation. Over its development in the past decade and more, Dadian Investment Group, through its standardized management, has laid a solid business foundation and amassed huge capital gains. However, any modern businesses seeking long-term development must strive to improve its management. Therefore, they must resort to scientific and highly efficient methods of management. Fine management is an irreversible trend in the development of modern enterprise management as well as an important means by which Dadian Investment has maintained its fast growth to this day. Physical assets are an important material basis for the business operation of Dadian Investment. But some flaws exist in the current management system, such as nonstandard procedures, flawed historical data, unreasonable asset allocation, poorly assigned responsibilities, and sloppiness in providing necessary information for the board's decision making. So, there is an urgent need for a software system to change the status quo and put the concept of fine management into practice. Therefore, building a system for managing physical assets is an important task for Dadian Investment in its effort to upgrade its management and fully apply fine management to its business operation. This paper has studied the status quo and the trend of enterprise asset management systems in China and abroad. Based on in-depth investigations of enterprises, this paper uses information technologies in solving key technical issues regarding work flow, usability and security according to the requirements by Dadian Investment for their physical asset management, incorporates the thoughts of fine management into the practical design and thus implements a fine management system of physical assets for Dadian Investment. Based on.Net C# and SQL Server database, this system adopts the B/S architecture and complies with MVC and three-tier architecture in its design. Web Service technologies are used to implement its login authentication and permission control platform shared with other information management systems. The system has passed all tests before its release. Servers of this system are deployed in the Beijing headquarter of Dadian Investment. Branch offices can communicate with the headquarter via a secured VPN connection. All users in different parts of China can manage the physical assets on the system by using their web browsers.By using the fine management system for physical assets, Dadian Investment has realized the life-cycle management(from purchasing, commissioning, repairing, stock taking to scraping) and online examination and approval towards the huge amounts of physical assets under a multi-layer and complex management architecture, strengthened the intra-group coordination, and improved the precision and execution of physical asset management so that responsibilities are divided up clearly, the cost is lowered, efficiency and profit are increased, and long-term goals of development are achieved.
