In order to break the limitations of traditional training on space, time and cost,make up for the shortcomings of traditional training and improve the training efficiency of drilling jumbo, the virtual training of drilling jumbo system is researched based on Unity3 D. The study includes the human-computer interaction system design, the system function design, the evaluation system of operating, the kinematic analysis and motion simulation of drilling jumbo.The ultimate goal of this paper is establishing an easy interaction, highly effective,reasonable evaluation of virtual training system of drilling jumbo.Firstly, the research status of virtual reality technology and virtual training is researched and analyzed. the paper explains the disadvantages of traditional training and the advantages of the virtual training system of drilling jumbo. Then introduce the relevant theoretical knowledge of the Virtual Training System and the software involved in the System, including Unity3 D,the game engine development, 3DMAX,the software used to make models and animations, the kinetic theory of D-H matrix method and the double triangle translation agency.The virtual training system includes four modules, they are study of theory, virtual demonstrations, operation training, assessment system. This article emphatically introduces the key technology of achieving the virtual training system. The motion simulation animation of drilling jumbo made by the parameter binding of IK(the inverse kinematics)in 3DMAX combines with Unity 3D to constitute virtual demonstrations,the parameter binding of drilling boom kinematics by Unity3 D which implements the movement simulation of drilling boom by programming.A new idea of collision detection is proposed that the trigger information generated by the collision grid can achieve the collision effects, coupled with some program code. Occlusion culling technology is used in a large number of model data scene to optimize the scene and improve the virtual training system efficiency. An intelligent evaluation method is proposed in this paper,which combined with the algorithm of drill boom positioning,the collision detectiontechnology,the drilling jumbo operating norms and evaluation standard. Assessment system will give the operator an evaluation result by the evaluation system that will improve the learning efficiency. Evaluation system and the algorithm of drilling boom positioning are the emphasis and difficulty of this paper. It not only analysis drilling jumbo structure from the aspect of kinematics, but also intelligently reflects the training effect.
