There are requirements to be demand-oriented on customer and market. As the leading enterprise of dumplings production, Wufangzhai meets the challenges of wide range of raw materials, complex production processes, and dispersed production sites. At the same time, manual weighing operations results low efficiency and errors. As a result, it brings the imprecise production cost control, not real-time inventorying and absent of information support to decision for supplements and marketing.To solve the above problem, this paper proposed an electronic weighting subsystem and integration of weighting information into existing ERP system. It will implement the automation of weighting and incorporate the information into existing ERP system by extension interface to provide variety of real-time weighting information for cost control, production process, and material supplements & marketing. The main research work includes the following aspects:1) Frame design of electronic weighing information ERP system: Describing the architecture and platform frameworks of Electronic Weighing Information & ERP system; also, the system functional definition and the production processes.2) Data Exchange Interface between electronic weighing and ERP systems: Introducing the data and operation flow of electronic weighing in ERP system, which includes conversion interface, data collecting and transmitting.3) Design and development of hardware and software of electronic weighing system: In which hardware and software details of Electronic Weighting subsystem are introduced, as well as interface with ERP system, sensors, control modules, communication modules and other key interfaces and code in detail.At present, the system has been applied in Jiaxing Wufangzhai factories, in which a hybrid integration of B/S and existing C/S structure, a real-time data exchange among ERP system, information sharing via SAP RFC calls, and information publish in Intranet. Morever, it meets the internal terminal query statistics data needs anywhere. With the using of distributed electronic scale system in the enterprise production, it achieves a 30% reduction in sampling errors, a 20% reduction in production costs, and a 25% reduction in manpower, which fully assess the improvement in enterprise production and management.
