In recent years, with the increasingly serious security issues, people's awareness of the protection to the assets is also growing. In a private company's daily office, there are a lot of assets relating to personal privacy and corporate secrets, such as mobile phones, mobile hard disks and notebook computers, etc. so the company need a system to monitor and manage these assets. But because the diversity of real-time location technology, and each existing monitoring system is only based on one technology of RTLS(Real Time Location Systems), the compatibility and applicability of the system are very poor. Different monitoring systems need to be used to monitor the assets that need to be monitored using different technology of RTLS. On the one hand, it increases the cost, on the other hand, it becomes more complicated in maintenance. Therefore, aiming at the heterogeneous problem between different systems, we improve the architecture of the existing monitoring system and implement the heterogeneous packet gathering and terminal monitoring system. The main research contents and results include the following points:(1) The basic architecture design and working principle of RTLS-based monitoring system are studied, and a series of solutions that are reliable, effective and easy to implement are proposed, which are based on the differences of WIFI, RFID and other technologies.(2) The signal data communication principle and mechanism between all kinds of labels and receiver are studied, including the communication protocol and packet format. The signal data adapter is designed to analyze and transform those data packets which are coming from different receiver.(3) The availability, stability and expansibility of the system are studied. The message queue cluster is using to decouple the system from the structure. It can integrate date and improve the expansibility of overall signal data bus.(4) The business, function and data requirements of heterogeneous packet gathering and terminal monitoring system are analyzed in depth. The architecture of system is built and the every component of architecture is designed and implemented. The heterogeneous problem between RTLS-based monitoring systems have been solved successfully.
