| Low-level wind shear has characteristics like small scale, high intensity, sudden appearance and short duration. It seriously affects the aircraft taking off and landing which is an important factor lead to large aircraft crashed. The practical wind shear warning algorithm use radial, tangential velocity gradient or the result of the combined based on fixed scale which are easy to cause omission.So it is can’t wait to get more high precision Radar base data and effective data processing methods. Only in this way can we improve the detection ability of low-level wind shear. Detail works are as follows:Some methods about quality control should be done, include filtering noise, filling the lacked points and inserting necessary data. K-neighborhood frequency method is presented which is based on the fitting window. This method could filter out noise echoes and repair the lack points better.Aiming at the problem leaded by single calculation length, a new low-level wind shear alerting algorithm based on adaptive scale is presented. The core idea of the algorithm is to calculate the velocity gradient based on several adaptive scales. Firstly, select multiple scale to calculate maximum wind shear intensity factor, choose the scale corresponding to the larger intensity factor value as the adaptive scale. Secondly,do the least squares fitting for many times on the radial. Finally, compare the fitting gradient with provisions of international low-level wind shear threshold and merger them to come to the conclusion. The performance of the proposed method is verified through the real data, the results show that the proposed algorithm can detect wind shear of all kinds of scales. Therefore, the proposed method improved the alarm rate. It has a certain practical application value. |
