Underwater monitoring equipment is a precision and high cost equipment but works under the sea which is an abnormal environment. The failure or other problems of it will cause huge economic and data loss. In view of these problems, we need to design underwater wireless network management program to manage it, but there is no direct use of the general solution. Therefore, it is necessary according to the different application system to design a special system on how to design the management function, how to balance the management ability and network costs, how to adapt to the underwater communication delay and high bit error rate characteristics.This article in view of the existing projects :acoustic communication for undersea natural gas hydrate environment monitoring system, develops a set of underwater acoustic wireless sensor network management system.Through the study of the problems of underwater acoustic communication and wireless sensor network, combined with the existing underwater acoustic wireless sensor network and its application environment, this thesis analyzes and summarizes the key technical problems of management system.According to the above research results and based on multi-layer design pattern and IBM Aglets platform, this thesis puts forward a distributed underwater acoustic wireless sensor network management framework, along with detailed argument on choices of framework design.In this thesis, the system management functions are divided into three categories which are the configuration management functions, performance management functions and fault management functions. And this thesis has a detailed research on the key techniques such as the topology discovery, topology display, performance chart shows, the heartbeat monitor,performance threshold-based fault alarm, along with detailed argument on choices of algorithm design.Finally in the TCP/IP network through the simulation experiment verifies the correctness of system function design, and demonstrate the system.
