The currently reported natural scene infrared images were mainly generated by real 3D simulation software Vega as the development platform, but the low level version of the Vision Sensor module used in infrared simulation calculation is greatly simplified, the imaging result is poor, the advanced version of the module is faced with the problems such as unable to buy, upgrade difficulties and so on. SE-Workbench is the professional infrared tool kit used for infrared image generation and scene rendering. Compared with Vega it has a great improvement in infrared imaging results and the high degree of detail in scene rendering. But the calculation of SE-Workbench's operation in real time infrared simulation process is very large, and the material mapping process requires a lot of manual operation. In this thesis, we base on the commercial software SE-Workbench, research on the method of infrared scene image generation automatically,introducing a method of Secondary development based on SE-Workbench, this method can simulate the infrared image of the scene automatically.In this thesis, first of all we introduce the development of infrared simulation at home and abroad, analyse the characteristics of infrared simulation.Secondly,we research on the principle of infrared imaging, three dimensional modeling technology based on Multi Gen Creator software and scene modeling technology based on Terra Vista.And then according to the practical needs of the simulation platform,We complete the development of SEWorkbench infrared simulation software based on MFC.We analyze the key technology of the automatic mapping of the texture of the material in detail, parsed SE-Workbench's material mapping file, and achieve the automatic generation function of the material mapping file through the program. Finally, we accomplish the development of forwardlooking infrared image simulation software based on the SE-Workbench, complete the generation of sequence infrared simulation images, using TCP/IP protocol to achieve the client and server information frame transmission.Experiments show that the method proposed in this thesis can accomplish the automatic generation of infrared scene image sequences without manual intervention. The infrared image generated by the simulation can simulate the environment factors such as different imaging locations, imaging time and so on,and it can achieve the demand of real-time transmission of information frame in the local area network, the experimental results are good.
