In recent years, many countries are faced with the problem of an aging popul ation. In China, along with social modernization, urbanization, the only child needs to devote more time to their daily work, which has led to a lot of empty nesters unattended. Physical function decline, empty nesters prone to some accident, if not timely rescue, the consequences will be unimaginable.To solve these problems, we design a remote monitoring system based on IOT for empty nesters, which can achieve real-time monitoring of the elderly. This paper complete Android client development, including user login registration, "Shake" emergency dialing, using WebRTC technology to achieve video and audio transmission, so that the elderly can use the mobile terminal to ask for help, and use video calls to communicate with their children. For efficient development, this system use the Hybird APP mixed development mode;To realize sensor networks and services, and complete indoor environmental data including indoor temperature, smoke and gas content and other information through the cloud server, which will transmit real-time information to the child mobile phone.Research on the implementation process of sensor network cloud services is the core, and NodeJS is the way to achieve the technology development; Using the BLE of Ibeacon module to achieve indoor positioning, so that children can always grasp the position of the elderly at home. Improved positioning algorithm selected trilateral localization algorithm.The system provides video and voice calls, emergency dialing, indoor location and indoor environmental monitoring of these features to satisfy both the empty-ne sters for spiritual companionship needs, medical assistance and security services at home, and to make up for such products having the shortcomings of price expensi ve and dysfunction on the market.
