| The aging society has become irreversible trend of 21st century with the society progressing. For various reasons, the rate of the world's elderly empty-nest is increasing with rapid pace. Health risks and daily security issue of elder people in empty nesters has caused widespread concern in society. Taking care of daily behavior of elderly people in empty nest with modern information technology has become key research topics in many research institutions at home and abroad. The body posture sensing technology is the most important and basic content in daily care of the elderly.This topic is researching human gesture sensing system for old special populations, which focuses on the research of methods and techniques for monitoring while the human body falling. The topic is to explore the establishment of an effective technology and methods of body posture perception, so as to design and develop human fall event perception and monitoring system in lab environment. Our experimental system adopts MMA7260Q acceleration sensors and MC9S08QG8 SCM launched by Freescale, implementing human gesture sensing system based on acceleration sensor, which can real-time monitor human activity data, and can pre-alarm when monitoring the falling of human body. If the guardian is conscious and do not need the assistance of others may choose to cancel the alarm. If there is no command input of cancelling the alarm within 15 seconds, the system will present formal alarm. The characteristics of low power consumption and high sensitivity of this system make the advantages obvious in daily care of elderly.Theoretical and experiment results show that the acceleration sensor systems can accurately monitor the change of acceleration vector of human motion, and can realize the needs of the system very well. |
