Campus Location Service System Based On The Android Platform

LBS is a kind of mobile information services,it provides users with the diversified information services that related to its position by positioning the current location of mobile terminal with the support of GIS.In recent years,with the increasing popularity of the smart mobile terminal and the rapid development of the mobile Internet technology,LBS is showing a broad application prospects and has already become one of the most potential applications in the 21 st century.As the active Internet users group,teachers and students in colleges and universities,except enjoying the convenience of the digital campus informatization,they also want to get the location based services which closely tied to their study,work and life.Based on the background above,the article takes east campus of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology for example,designed a campus location service system based on the Android platform which can provide convenient and quick information service for teachers and students.The main research work as follows:(1)Studying and comparing the existing wireless positioning technology proceeding from outdoor and indoor such two different application scenarios,selecting the outdoor and indoor wireless positioning technology solution in this system.Using GPS satellite positioning technology in outdoor.Using the RSSI fingerprint positioning strategy in indoor,and taking the cluster management of the fingerprint database by the improved k-means clustering algorithm which suitable for reference point fingerprint data structure in offline training phase,in order to reduce the computational complexity of search information in online positioning stage.(2)Building a small geographic information system that based on ArcGIS series products.The system adopts the Geodatabase data mode to take unified storage and management of the campus spatial data and attribute data so as to realize the creation of the campus map,and finishs the shortest route analysis by using ArcGIS network analysis function in order to obtain the shortest path between any two points on the campus map,and publishs map services onto the Web Server providing the map service support for the entire system by using ArcGIS Server at last.(3)Completing the general design of campus location service system based on mobile terminal——server architecture according to the analysis of system requirements.The maincontents include the design of the system's function and Information Process,the configuration of the development environment of mobile terminal and server.At last,implementing each function of the campus location service system based on the Android platform by combining ArcGIS API for Android plug-in,and providing the implementation results.
