Research And Implementation Of Campus Location Service System Based On Android

With the development of mobile Internet technology and smart mobile devices, LBS as a new trend have taken more attention. College teachers and students as active groups of the Internet are widely using smart mobile devices to access the network resources and services. How to transplant the results of the digital campus to the mobile terminal, use mobile devices to provide services for campus users, become the focus of the University information construction. Campus location services as the specific application for the campus environment, integrate information and services according to the location, and provide a convenient and visual information services to campus users. It is important to make a good solution for developing and improving college mobile application after completed the wireless network covering all teaching areas buildings.Based on the background above, this paper analysis the campus location services technology and design a system based on Android platform. The key is to determine the indoor or outdoor positioning. Outdoor positioning use GPS, and combine with Baidu maps for secondary development to build local maps. Indoor positioning use the RSSI fingerprint positioning strategy based on the comparison the several of methods and techniques. This paper improve the algorithm to match the campus network environment that the wireless AP sparse. In offline training phase, through collecting many times and averaging the other RSSI value after eliminating outliers, and then deposit the results in the position fingerprint library. In real-time positioning stage, the algorithm adopt the way of combining the rough positioning and accurate positioning to improve the speed and accuracy. The system provides four functions include basic services, campus navigation, log on unified identity authentication system, and indoor location services etc. The server pushes the personalized information from the public data exchange platform to the user terminal after located the user’s positioning. This paper also introduces the system of the client and server module. Finally, the system is tested and meets the design requirements.
