The Applied Research And Implementation Of Campus Positioning System Based On Wi-Fi

In recent years, in order to solve the problem about "the last kilometer" of positioning and navigation, the giant of science and technology and scientific research institutions have been doing a deal of research, generating a lot of mature technologies,including Wi-Fi,RFID,bluetooth, Zigbee,UWB.However, except Wi-Fi signal,other technologies need extra signal generator, which brought great barrier in technology popularization. On the contrary,Wi-Fi has became very popular because the popular of Internet.Now the realization of traffic analysis, parking management, activity promotion,and near-field payments by using Wi-Fi positioning instead of using video processing and ultrasonic gets better performance.Generally, Wi-Fi positioning products mainly are used in some professional field, such as mine, prisons, hospitals, petrochemical industry and so on.This paper presents an application of Wi-Fi positioning system on campus, can get the position of the students at anytime and anywhere, accelerating the construction of campus safety.The positioning system Based on Wi-Fi mainly includes login, campus maps, indoor positioning, indoor positioning is first important part.In indoor, Wi-Fi signal is liable to be influenced by many factors,establishing an accurate signal propagation model to estimate the target location is difficult,so the position fingerprint technology has became a major means of researching on indoor positioning.Nowadays there are two difficulties in studying position fingerprint: one is the issue of fingerprint data acquisition processing rapidly, the other is accurate positioning problem.In this paper, on the processing of fingerprint, probability method is used to store data,as the basis of online positioning.Improving online matching algorithm of fingerprint positioning, can judge which floor you are on and where you are.Finally,the modules of this system are designed.The server uses the Servlet technology, the client on the Android intelligent mobile phone.After the test, Most error is within 2 meters,can realize accurate indoor positioning and the needs of campus location services gets satisfied.
