Research On CEP-based ESB Monitoring Technology

ESB platform has been widely used in enterprise information integration, but its monitoring system hasn't developed synchronously, which means that it cannot monitor service layer, server layer and hardware layer at the same time, cannot support dynamic deployment mechanism of monitoring rules and cannot make real-time emergency treatment and resource scheduling tuning for abnormal scenarios. Therefore, after analyzing characteristics of ESB platform monitoring, this paper puts forward and designs a CEP-based ESB platform monitoring system. Meanwhile, the paper sums up a set of monitoring schema definition specification based on event and provides dynamic deployment mechanism for extensible and diverse handlers. Moreover, the problem of monitoring rule visualization definition is solved. The primary study in the paper are described as follows:(1) Analyze present situation of existing ESB platform monitoring, propose and design a CEP-based ESB platform monitoring system, which can solve problems of existing ESB monitoring systems such as cannot recognize complex abnormal scenarios and cannot process in time.(2) Implement monitoring data collection of service layer, server layer and hardware layer, design event-based monitoring schema definition specification and solve monitoring rule visualization definition problem. Especially, compared with existing ESB platform monitoring systems, which can only describe interesting scenarios through one resource's indicator, this paper can define complex interesting scenarios involving multiple resources and timing relationship, which avoids the problem of continuous alarm and redundant alarm.(3) Provide various extensible candidate handlers, by which, diverse emergency processing plans can be predefined and triggered in time and propose dynamic deployment mechanism for defining monitoring rules, all of which make up shortcomings of existing ESB platform monitoring systems that they only provide notification handler and lack flexibility to deal with changeable rules.And switching monitoring rules between different states makes rule management more flexible.(4) Realize event delivery module and processing module with adaptive multithreaded mode, which can support cluster extension.This mode also makes its configuration flexibly changeable for actual conditions, which guarantees performance.(5) Implement the ESB platform monitoring system based on CEP, CEP-ESBMonitor prototype system, and aimed at ESB platform monitoring requirements, test CEP-ESBMonitor in terms of functionality and performance to demonstrate its reasonable feasibility and convenient ease of use.
