Railway comprehensive dispatching system is the key to make Passenger Dedicated Lines (PDL) operation safety and efficiently. With the application of PDL and high-speed train, comprehensive dispatching system guarantees train operation safe and punctual, assists dispatchers to deal with complex emergency events, establishes a unified standard dispatching business process for all the railway, eliminates the differences in business process of each dispatcher's office, and breaks the limits of different types of jobs so as to allocate transport resources reasonably. These are the key issues which PDL comprehensive dispatching system should face.In theory research, our research work focuses on solving the following issues.(1) Study the architecture design issues that occur in a service-oriented comprehensive dispatching system. Study how the architecture can satisfy the requirements of business-online extension, business process adjustments, and the requirements of real-time and reliability. Solve the real-time data problems and service problems of management information flow and control information flow and classify the categories of dispatching job.(2) Study the integration of existing information systems and make the integrated information system deal with a variety of complex external interfaces, realize functional integration and business process integration which is independent of functional and business processes. Besides, it can also provide an integrated platform of dispatching system for workers on different dispatching jobs to use various rail transport capacity resources, such as vehicles, infrastructure, drivers and crew members and so on.(3) Study the establishment of the railway scheduling business process model. It can support emerging new railway equipment and adapt to constantly adjustment of dispatching operations. It is able to adjust business processes quickly and easily, integrate the dynamic business process and provide support to business process adjustment, management and optimization.(4) Study the establishment of complex event processing model. It is used in integrated rail dispatching system and is able to carry out effective monitoring of unusual events and processing large amounts of data. It can preprocess large amounts of data, detect potential anomalies, directly or potential, and provide support to the corresponding business processes. (5) By establishing of service-oriented architecture, business process models and complex event processing models and building comprehensive dispatching system, it support both the adjustment and extension of business processes and development of related functional modules. It is a sustainable development architecture model which supports both business process management and real-time control decision-making environment and provides a comprehensive decision platform.The paper has the following results after research.(1) It introduces service-oriented architecture to the design of railway comprehensive dispatching system. It builds a service model, separates business process and functional platform and realizes the management and optimization for dispatching business process.(2) Propose the SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) architecture method which is characteristic with layering BUS design for railway dispatching business. Based on SOA architecture and service BUS, it puts forward centralization of management for control information flow and supervisory service information flow. Meanwhile it avoids mutual influence of the service bus design and realizes comprehensive management for variety dispatching business process management.(3) Propose scenario-based analysis method, establish dispatching business process model and realize the management and optimization of complex business processes scheduling system.(4) Propose complex events monitoring model of dispatching system which is based on Petri nets. The model monitors massive complex events and handles exceptional events according to business process. Based on the demand analysis of dispatching business process, to realize the automation of dispatching business process, the paper connects all the functional modules which are used to solve the local problems.(5) Integrate dispatching business processes and complex event process. Propose comprehensive business process for business events and complex events.The research results of this paper will be directly used in the development of PDL in present China. It will be the guidance for operational management and dispatching to the future 20000km PDL in China.
