More and more enterprises make use of electronic applications instead of traditional communication like telephone and fax as information technology develops quickly. A larger number of application level events are transferred between these applications. So it becomes important that extracting information from events in real-time and then making business decision. Complex event processing is a newly technology which is used to construct event-driven information systems. It helps implement business intelligence through detecting complex event pattern among related events. There is an enterprise application in one financial company, which needs to receive real-time inner trades and publish them to the company's clients according some rules combined real-time financial market data. It is available to resolve it with complex event processing in such scenario as lots of real-time data and many invariant rules surround it.Research and design of this enterprise application is done based on Apama which is a complex event processing platform. This paper proposes application management framework and adapter status detection mechanism from management of event-driven components. Event-oriented logic implementation is used, which can be a reference for other related application implementation. In regard of the characteristic of enterprise application, an innovative strategy for application recovery is designed. In addition, some improvements are introduced considering of application scalability and usability. After balancing of advantage and disadvantage of complex event processing, a new approach is proposed at last. That is combination of complex event processing and Service-oriented Architecture, which is verified as useful with a use case in reality.
