3D scan system is a new type of measuring method which fully utilizes the latest optical technologies and computer technologies to collect the data of the target and reconstruct its 3D models efficiently. Compared with traditional ways of 3D modeling,3D scan can be faster and more convenient. In view of the high cost, low degree of automation and difficulty of operation, in consideration of the enterprise actual needs, a 3D scan system using low-cost RGB-D camera is proposed. This system is used as a 3D scan research platform and a product prototype for the enterprise.Firstly, the development of related products both at home and abroad are analyzed. Through roles division, carrying out a demand analysis and a general design scheme of the system hardware and software is put forward.Secondly, the 3D reconstruction pipeline is implemented by using of PCL including data capture module, image processing module, point cloud registration and post processing module and surface reconstruction module. Introducing the data recorder and player into the system to use play-back method refine the 3D models.Thirdly, the software's GUI and logic are developed by using Qt framework. The software is divided into three layers and use a data exchange interface to make a decoupled system. Multiple viewers are developed to show the data that produced by the pipeline.Finally, The scanning auxiliary equipment are designed and assembled which can greatly improve the automaticity of this system. Then test results and examples are presented to demonstrate the achievement of our research, it suggests that the 3D scan system is functional.
