Fibernet is the basic infrastructure of communication network. Its failure in supplying communication service will cause huge economic losses and security issues directly and indirectly. Shortcomings in the traditional way of optical fiber detection, such as can't detect the failure occur timely, has large error in locating the failure, long-time and high-cost in maintenance, without visibility of running state of the fibernet, makes it particularly urgent and necessary to design and develop a kind of fiber breakpoint online detection system of WebGIS with functions of fiber optical failure real-time detection and accurate positioning.In order to solve the problem of low efficiency in map slicing process, this article has constructed a map slice structure model of Pyramid, and has designed a storage mechanism and a tile quick search mechanism, both based on quad-tree structure, and has used file directory to store and organize map tiles, realizing caching map tiles on the server side. On this basis, this paper has designed and realized a multi thread slicing algorithm, with the purpose of slicing map to tiles with high efficiency.In order to increase the speed of loading maps, this paper has designed a double caching mechanism based on the tile management, which includes caching on the server side and caching on the client side. Server-side cache is realized by slicing technology, while the client-side cache is realized on the basis of asynchronous loading technology and the cache function of web browsers. For the purpose of expanding the capacity of the client cache ability, this paper has designed a pre-fetching mechanism on the basis of dual-thread to deal with pre-fetching tiles for dragging and zooming mouse action. Derived from the tile search mechanism, this paper has designed a seamless map tile splicing technology with coordinate calculation.This paper has designed and developed a fiber failure real-time online detection WebGIS system. Besides satisfying the two requirements of the online real-time detection for the fibernet failure and fault location accurate positioning function at the same time, it also provides functions of displaying optical fiber running state on the map real-time, fault alarm, sending for repairmen with SMS service, human-computer interaction, data statistics and analysis, etc. The system significantly reduces the duration and cost of the fibernet failure maintenance, improving the reliability and ensuring the stability of the fibernet communication.
