Electric actuator is an important terminal control element in the automatic control system. It has an important influence on the safety and stability of the whole control system. At present, the application of the traditional electric actuator in the industrial field has the disadvantages such as low control accuracy, dead time, and no network communication function, which can not meet the development requirements of modern industrial production. With the development of intelligent control technology and field bus technology, the intelligent and intelligent electric actuator will become the inevitable development trend of the technology in the field. Therefore, the design and development of electric actuator with PROFIBUS bus interface has become a very practical application value.In this paper, the main control circuit and the system software of the electric actuator are designed. The main control circuit of the electric actuator includes power module, motor control module, LCD display module, motor protection module, IO interface module and debug module design. Based on the electric actuators hardware platform, designed as the modular application,the software part is divided into man-machine interaction module design, communication module design, motor control module design and function module design of four parts to carry on the detailed elaboration, which has realized the function with PROFIBUS interface communication,motor control, display the state of the operation parameters, local/remote control operation, motor protection, setting the configuration parameters and important operation parameter statistics.When the electric actuator has a PROFIBUS interface, it becomes a network from the field of bus control system, and the upper control system completes the communication and control functions. The design of communication interface is accomplished by PROFIBUS VPC3+C, which realizes the communication data between PC and electric actuator, acquisition of PROFIBUS state, interrupt and diagnosis,parameter setting and configuration setting. And build the PROFIBUS-DP bus network,the corresponding function of the electric actuator is tested and the experimental results show that the electric actuator can achieve PROFIBUS bus communication function.In the end, the paper uses fuzzy theory and BP neural network to fault diagnosis ofactuator. In view of the analysis and feature extraction of electric actuator faults, the concept of fuzzy logic is introduced and the fuzzy neural network is constructed. The simulation results show that the generalization ability and learning ability of fuzzy neural network can be successfully performed for fault diagnosis of actuator.
