Virtual Reality Technology is one of the most promosing core technologies in the 21st century. With the rapidly development of policy support for construction of virtual simulation experiment teaching center, VR technology is widly used in construction and development of interactive three-dimensional virtual laboratories.Biochemical analysis and genetic engineering experiments include life science basic experiments and research methods. How to utilize biologically active compounds and biochemistry to do research can bring new opportunities for exploring the mystery of life. In the traditional biochemical analysis and genetic engineering laboratories, however, some experiments exist obvious disadvantages, such as time-consuming, fussy experiments steps, low repeatability of experimental results, larger security risks, expensive equipments and so on, which make it difficult to do experiments. Students have few opportunities to use expensive devices by themselves, because of the cost of maintenance. The construction of 3D virtual laboratories for biochemical analysis and genetic engineering experiments not only can reduce experiment time effectively, improve repeatability of results, and provide more chances for students to do experiments, but also can be operated repeatedly. This virtual simulation lab can be used everywhere by everyone at any moment in an actual sense. Simulation and true laboratory are complementary, and none of them is lacking. Biochemical analysis and genetic engineering simulation laboratory, which can reduce traditional experiment deficiencies effectively, is different from traditional teaching methods, such as courseware, and web-based course. The utilize of virtual lab is a new and promosing teaching style, and it is necessary to bulid this biochemical analysis and genetic engineering virtual laboratory.Integration of a variety of softwares and technologies such as Virtools,3ds Max, Flash, PhotoShop, PHP, and VSL is taken advantage of in the paper in order to build a net share virtual laboratory with various functions. BB modules and virtual simulation laguages, which support the design and construction of the entire virtual laboratories, are used to achieve the process of virtual roam, interactive operation, and workstation simulation. We also use modeling software like 3ds Max to establish a virtual lab environment, virtual experiment equipments, and virtual character model. The whole interactive biochemical analysis and genetic engineering virtual laboratories are designed by a combination of programming languages.Web-based interactive 3D virtual simulation labratories for biochemical analysis and genetic engineering experiments,which is a knid of human-machine integrative system, can establish an environment for users to operate on a multimedia computer, and show high immersive three-dimensional visual effects by using VR technology and hardware devices. The ability of network management and open sharing for experimental platform, which includes precontract, course selection, preview, evaluation and virtual operation, is used in this system. Users can not only have timely access to experimental data, but also can achieve the evaluation results and analyze experiment data, without the limit of time and space by sharing this network platform. The virtual lab system opens up a new mode of teaching for biochemical analysis and genetic engineering experiments and lays a foundation for personnel training, equipment learning and experiment teaching.
