With the rapid development of intelligent devices and communications technologies, the Internet of Things(IOT) more and more step in various industries and people's daily life, so that the production efficiency has been greatly improved and people's life become more convenient. Data acquisition and transmission is in the bottom layer of the IOT and also the most critical part of the one. Currently available data acquisition and transmission devices are designed for a specific device and occasion and according to the specific requirements, so its application scope is limited. This paper, however, introduces the data acquisition and transmission system has a strong flexibility, and it can be successfully used in different equipment and occasions through a simple modification.This thesis designs a data acquisition and transmission system which can be applied to a variety of equipment and occasions in the IOT. The system has two basic structures included the structure based on Ethernet and the other one is based on Wi Fi. These two basic structures not only can be used alone, can also be used in combination. In addition,the type and number of sensors connected by the system are not fixed, and can be dynamically added or deleted on the client-side. Therefore, the system has a very strong flexibility.In the thesis, we first of all briefly introduce the IOT and key technology of IOT; Secondly,it describes the overall framework of the data acquisition and transmission system; Thirdly,the hardware platform and software one of the system are suggested in detail; Fourthly,implementation process of the application software of the system on the building software and hardware platform is presented; Finally, the function testing of the whole system is carried out. The test results illustrated that the system can stably perform data acquisition and transmission.
