Software radio hardware platform's core philosophy is to be open, simple, generic, software design as the core work to achieve scalable radio communication functions. In fact, SDR breaks the limitations of traditional software radio communication systems which heavily dependent on specific hardware, to build an open, common standard hardware platform. Currently, Communication equipments use software radio as the dominant ideology in the design.Software defined radio platforms are relatively uncommon in the country, only can be found on paper, boards designed by some small companies, and the price is high with narrow band. Portable radio equipments in some places are in urgent needs. Such as railway signal interference investigation, signal suppression special occasions. These situations require equipments are portable, no external power supply and less demanding on the processing performance. Therefore, portable software radio equipments have a broad space for development.After decades of development, the RF part from pure analog circuits into a more versatile, and more powerful ASIC. Mixing 2.4G technology is already quite mature in the market, which is primarily because now WIFI and Bluetooth technology has been gaining in popularity within this band. So we use the relevant chip to mix all RF signals to 2.6GHz. Then use the built-in high-performance quadrature mixer RF transceiver chip to make the fixed frequency RF analog signals into variable bandwidth quadrature analog baseband signal. Then signals are processed by the embedded platform with needs.This article intends to adopt the novel quadrature low pass sampling as the basic structure of a transceiver, Using whole RF front-end ICs to achieve the greatest degree of reduced design complexity, while ensuring high performance and low noise. Baseband processing section also uses a high-performance transceiver IC, completing analog IF signal to the analog baseband signal. In addition, the signal processing part uses the cost-effective and high-end ARM processor as the central processing unit, achieving specific device functions, to create a highly versatile, cost-effective portable software radio platform. Work and achievements made are as follows:1.Designing, making and debugging transceiver platform;2.Designing, making and debugging embedded processing platform, porting Android to platform;3. Designing, simulation and implementing of 250 K, 125 K, 62.5K and 20 K narrowband filter;4. The half-duplex 30 MHz ~ 6GHz portable transceiver.
