3D image sensor is a new type of sensor which could obtain stereo-pair images and coordinate of the scene. This paper focused on the solution of 3D image sensor,includes high-definition image synchronous acquisition,the algorithm of stereo-pair image synthesis,2D/3D display mode of 3D image.The main research work is as follows:(1)The system scheme of the 3D image sensor was designed,It taked FPGA and two HD CMOS image sensors as the main components,and configured the register parameters of image sensor synchronously to get output format, resolution and frame rate.(2)The hardware logic algorithm of 3D image sensor was designed and a large scale digital circuit was constructed.This paper finished some research on synchronous data acquisition of dual-channel images and video output of binocular view synthesis,the three buffer pools which composed of the FIFO and external SDRAM were adopted to cache the image data,completed twice cross-clock operation by sequential algorithm and output the left and right eye images by line.(3)The logic control module which could complete the 2D screen display and 3D pixel reconfiguration display was designed. 2D screen display included left-right format and top-bottom format,it could capture images of two sensor in real time;in the design of 3D algorithm,the pixel reconfiguration of naked-eye 3D subscreen was sequential processed by using logic algorithm in image buffer memory.System debugging and running results show that the 3D sensor could work stable and effective. The system could complete the function of high definition image acquisition, left and right stereoscopic image synthesis and dual-modes display of 3D images.
