In the 21 st century, with the rapid development of modern electronic technology and the increasing demands of life from humans, the ever keyboard or mouse operation, featuring inconvenient to carry and poor human-computer interaction. It has failed to meet people's desire, instead, they began to trend to the touch screen operation with such features as more convenient, efficient and direct visualization. The touch screen has quietly effected and changed our work and life. No matter it is in the filed of security, mobile terminal, notebook computer, industrial control and other fields, and gradually become one of the most important technologies in the modern information industry.In the past decades,touch screen design manufacturers emerged like a rising wind and scudding clouds around the world, therefore, the touch technology appeared in the rapid development. However, there are unprecedented fierce competition between various manufacturers because of the unstable development of market economy and the relatively backward screen touch technology of China. In the current industry market, some excellent touch screens have a higher price but a number of inexpensive touch screens have a poor quality. And in a long period of time, a lot of unfair competition has lagged behind the development of new technologies and the touch operation satisfaction of customers is on the decline, which are unable to meet more advanced business applications. Therefore, in view of the author's practice in Shenzhen for the touch technology and understanding of the mutual capacitance touch ST1633 chip performance, the author wrote the thesis of the touch screen system.In the theoretical part of the text,First, the paper has researched the whole development and current situation of touch screen to introduce the writing background and significance of this topic. Second, the author has introduced the development and current situation of domestic and foreign industry technology, especially the touch screen controller chip and the author give a detailed introduction and comparative analysis about this topic. At the same time, the author has summarized the main research contents and the development processes of this thesis.In the part of the hardware design, the author launches a design work of the touch screen system hardware and chooses ST1633 column touch IC as the main controller of this system after comparing different touch controller chips. First of all, the paper introduces some basic hardware structures of touch screen and the basic principle and encapsulate functions of ST1633 touch controller and processing which usually happens in the whole circuit. Secondly, the author assisted by the uses DXP operation to design the fit touch controller IC with flexible circuit board FPC. Finally, this paper also introduced the processing laminating process of touch screen hardware design and analysis-ed the whole touch screen system from the basic performance, high precision and sensitivity, multi-point motion tracking, low power consumption and other characteristics.In the part of system software design, the paper first introduces the basic I2 C communication protocol of touch screen system and the application analysis during the data transmission. Then, the author has detailed introduction about the development and application of data transmission and register function based on the ST1633 touch screen system. At last, according to the built demo experiment board, the author uses the logic analyzer to capture data and analysis waveform, synchronously, develops the software function module program by using the keil C251 compiler. And successfully completes the procedures after continual debugging, compilation and simulation.In the later system verification and synthesis simulation test, the simulation program burner connecting plate Touch-Link was firstly built. And then through introducing the TDU burn the test software, the author analysises the different action effect from the original data signal to the raw data, synchronously, modifies CFG parameter in the burn testing software. Finally, the author had a comparison between the testing simulation demo test machine and market prototype and improved the touch screen system design to make it's performance more stable and the function more perfect.At the end of this thesis, the paper has made a summary and expectation of the ST1633 touch screen system design featuring low price, stable performance and better function. At the same time, the author believes that, this design will not only provide a lot of learning and thinkingfor the touch screen technology development and the development lovers, but also make some deserve contributions to the whole touch technology industry.
