In the information networksof today, the rapid development of information technology is inseparable from the efficient and rapid transmission of information and technical support. Optical fiber communication technology adapted to the technology trends in the past few decades to complete the promotion and popularization in the world, but also become the country's main communication transmission technology, optical transceiver module is the core device of optical fiber communication system, and with the progress of the information age it also plays an increasingly important role, so it is important to study their importance.Ethernet transmission at 10 Gbps optical module initially was 300 pin package,which isthe less application module.Then it improved to the XENPAK,which is high technical maturity of the module, used widely, bulky and power-hungry.The third is X2, which the volume of the module than XENPAK reduced by about 40%,high cost and only as a transitional product.The fourth is XFP, which is small, low cost and wide application.Finally,SFP+ appeared,because of its unique advantages,itreplaced XFP and has become the mainstreamproduct in 10 Gbps optical module field since 2010.The objective of this thesis: by improving the optical module debugging and testing platform, so we can cost savings and improve the production efficiency of product line and increase economic benefits for the company.Designed for long distance 10 Gbps SFP+ optical module test platform, this paper mainly covers in two areas which includes the part of designing of SFP + optical modules and the part of designing of the multi-channel optical module test platform. First, an overview of the background and significance of SFP + optical module analyzes the send and receive ends of the overall architecture and schematic design. Wherein the originating design analyzes the optical transmitter subassembly TOSA, drive circuit Driver, automatic power control circuit, and gives the circuit schematic design of each part of the circuit, the receiving end design of the main analysis of the photodetector, preamplifier, principle and design a limiting amplifier, etc. Finally, the main chip MAX3956, MCU and module PCB analysis and design and product display.Secondly, describes the SFP + optical module SFF-8472 agreement, EEPROM read and write, design and software part of the optical module Firmware design digital diagnostic functions DDM-related parameters, and gives one of the important code, including Bootloader for writing function, Application area I2 C interrupt routine.Then, it analyzes the three parts SFP + optical module debugging and testing multi-channel platform, the first part of the analysis and design of BERT, the second part is a four-channel modulation test board design, the third part is the end of the test equipment and the transceiver program, and gives a detailed circuit schematic and PCB layout of each part of the circuit design of Altium Designer by the four-channel tone test board, and gives tone multi-channel test panels finished Products.Finally, introduces the SFP + optical module production process, analyzing the originator of performance tuning test indicators and results, the terminating performance tuning test indicators and results, and summarizes the precautions in the entire optical transceiver module end debugging and testing process.In this paper, the largest innovative achievements in that: improving the traditional single-channel modulation test board to multi-channel(quad) test tone plate.After the improving,the multi-channel modulation improved to not only make the test plates greatly improve the efficiency of debugging and testing at room temperature, but also for high temperature and low temperature reduction test efficiency also has a very big help.Additionally, this article improved version of the multi-channel tone test board design ideas not only applies to SFP + LR optical module debugging and testing, but also for the same optical module,such as SFP + SR, CWDM SFP + CWDM, intensive light reuse SFP + DWDM and other multi-channel test tone design,also has a relatively large reference.
