| Currently, in many driver training schools, the trainer and the trainee communicate in traditional ways, such as phone and SMS; even by handwriting. With the increasing number of trainee, these traditional ways of communication reduce efficiency of driver training while having negative effects on the quality of trainers’ teaching and the supervision of the driving school. Moreover, these traditional ways prevent development of the whole driver training market. To address these problems, we try to design and implement a new interactive platform for driver training in this paper.According to market research and demand analysis, we find that it is very promising to build interactive platform for driver training as mobile phone applications. Mobile phone applications can be easily built to implement many functions, such as the course schedule appointments, information management and schedule reminder, etc. It will improve the way of communication between trainers and trainees. Besides, it is very convenient to exchange information and to arrange course schedule for schools. In the process of market research, we find that most trainers and trainees use smart phones, which is the basic condition of the proposed platform promoting. Moreover, the majority of them approve the proposed platform.Considering many factors including development costs, development difficulty, and development period, we decide to adapt hybrid development model. We use the HBuilder as the development platform. Meanwhile, we apply Html5, Css3, JS, Ajax and JSON technologies to realize the proposed platform. In order to cooperate with training school, we also build the B/S structure based management system of the driver training school by Node.js, MongoDB and jQuery technologies in this interactive platform.The proposed platform consists of seven modules:arranging the course schedule in the next week, presenting the curriculum in this week, recording history exploring, trainees demanding, information maintenance, monitoring system message and personnel management. It contains 44 web pages and 17 database tables, which basically meet the communication and management needs of school, trainer and trainee. According to the strict function test, we conduct a large number of optimization and modification for the whole platform framework, functional design, system stability, and other aspects. Now, the platform has been running at a cooperative driver training school. We receive many favorable comments from users.In this paper, we design and implement a new interactive platform to solve the existing problems of communication in the process of driver training. It fills the gap in the market of mobile application development. According to the development of this platform, we also conduct an effective practice of Hybrid mode. We verify its feasibility in mobile application development. Moreover, we summary the advantages and disadvantages of Hybrid development mode in the terms of development cost, period and difficulties. Finally, we extract an effective solution of the mobile application development with low cost, fast speed and low difficulty, which would be a good example of similar industry demands. |
