Nowadays, with the increasing development of society, growth rate of premium increases synchronously with that of insurance company under the influence of people's rising insurance consciousness in domestic insurance industry. The number of all kinds of insurance company is over 140 and it is still in a rapid growth. The competition among the insurance companies becomes more fierce for the sake of prosperity of insurance market. Thus it is a vital problem the company faced in its development how to change the business model, gain more customer resource, improve the efficiency of insurance claims and reduce the operating costs. At present information-based development, handling the insurance business and optimizing the flow is inseparable from the support of information system. Informationized management system could be used in the overall management to insurance company information and provide a unitive business-processing platform to staff.This paper used the methods of literature, research and combination of theory and empirical method. At first, collect and collate the theoretic literature about the D/S-based informationized management system of insurance company at home and abroad using rest to make surveys, collect, and analyze the data collected. Proceeding from the company actual operation condition, analyze flows of its daily work to design the flow structure, build the system functional modules and implement its function through the technical practice. The process of development in this paper is mainly based on ASP.NET technology and SQL SERVER 2008 technology analyzing various parts including system feasibility, especially technical feasibility, economic feasibility and system operation feasibility from the demand of system functions. Meanwhile, it makes an analysis on system business flow and explanation to system non-functional demand. In this paper, the system entire blueprint, software architecture is designed and system is divided to several functional modules according to the modular idea. The logical structural design is built from the physical structure of system data structure. Then it describes the detailed system-implementing process, and particularly explains the interface of main functional modules and key codes. Thus it implements the function about the management of basic data, product, policy and wages.Finally, the paper has accomplished the development of business management system at Shanghai branch. Through the test, all functions do meet the demands of customer and run steadily through a long time.
