This paper analyzes the current situation and existing problems of domestic and foreign oil field monitoring industry. Combined with the existing problems in Oilfield existing measuring instruments and the actual needs of oilfield users, with the beam pumping unit as the research object design a wireless monitoring system of oil pumping unit with the function of pumping rod dynamometer drawing and electric power parameter measurement of pumping unit motor. Data acquisition terminal use a high performance ARM processor as the main control chip. It combines the new ZigBee wireless sensor technology and GPRS wireless communication technology,with a dedicated energy metering chip. Realization of the oil field pumping unit indicator diagram, the power parameters of real-time measurement, display and data remote communication and other functions. When pumping wells fails, an error message can be uploaded by the center monitoring system. It is convenient for oilfield staff to master the fault condition in time and conducive to scientific management.In this paper, the selection of the specific devices, the design of hardware and software for the different modules of the working condition detection system are introduced. Mainly divided into three modules : Indicator diagram acquisition module, electrical parameter measurement module and wireless communication module. In dynamometer acquisition module we have designed load and displacement sensors, and realize wireless data transmission and realized dynamometer load and the displacement of wireless information collection. Diagram of the acquisition of the software design process is described in detail; In the electrical parameter measurement module, we use the special electric energy metering chip CS5463 as the core. We design the hardware circuit. Focus on explaining the SPI communication between the ARM and CS5463; In the wireless communication module section, carried out the selection between ZigBee wireless communication module and GPRS wireless communication module. In host computer control system, man-machine interface design is carried out by using C language.This system can be widely used in oil sucker rod pumping equipment monitoring, so that oil production workers do not need to frequently patrol well. Reduce the labor intensity of oil workers, at the same time, it also avoids the inaccuracy of manual drawing and the inaccuracy in measuring current and power. For the operation and management of the oil field pumping unit has a certain practical significance and practical value.
