Rising production costs, increasing competitive leads to more complicate environment. The more uncertain, the more difficult management meets. The cost advantage is the competitive advantage. It's the way to survive for enterprises by reducing costs with scientific way. It's the key point to change extensive management to fine one in order to improve their core competitiveness.IT is a very strong permeability technology. It can penetrate into all aspects of the production, operation and management. Enterprise information technology means the process that enterprise transforms traditional management model with information technology, make full use of information resources to improve economic efficiency and competitiveness. It's also the process that the enterprise transforms its management from extensive to intensive.Company A is a large state-owned company. It has more than one hundred billion yuan with both total assets and operation income in 2011. With the steady growth in total assets and operation income, there is the increasing pressure in cost management. So the company started to set up collaboration office platform in 2009. The project involves the following three subsystems, the e-email system, office application system, portals and unified directory management. Based on this project, the article described its implementation of the objectives, scope and the architecture details. At last it analyzed the achievements and benefits of the project, summed up the experience and lessons learned. At the same time, the article proposed the work in future.
