As a representative of intelligent products, intelligent robot is the focus of many researchers. It can make corresponding action in accordance with the "brain" thinking to achieve predetermined target without human involvement, it's a synthesis of typical high technology. The smart car researched in this thesis belongs to the category of mobile robot, the thesis surrounding the issue of smart car game control launched the research, combined the embedded technology with the Internet of ZigBee technology, took the color extraction and recognition in color image as the main means, studied and designed a smart car game control system based on ZigBee.In system, red and white paper was chosen respectively as car body packaging to distinguish both sides of the game, the image sensor was adopted to acquire smart car body information, and the method of color image region segmentation was used to extract and identify the smart car body color to judge the game both sides. And the corresponding information of smart car was uploaded to PC monitoring system and the start command from monitoring system was transmitted to all smart cars through the Internet of ZigBee technology. After experimental verification and algorithm comparison, the system improved in the aspects of real-time and functional than the traditional car control system, and provided another kind of research idea of the smart car. The work of this thesis summarized as follows:(1) The construction of the wireless communication network. After analyzed and selected the several different network topology structures included in the Internet of ZigBee technology, determined star topology structure as the network mode of system. In wireless communication network, set a coordinator and numbers of terminals, the coordinator connected to PC monitoring system as the center of the whole communication network, was responsible for communicating with terminals which installed on the smart cars.(2) The analysis and design of smart car game control system. The thesis designed system hardware circuits according to the project demand analysis, developed and designed the corresponding function software program on the basis of the hardware structure. Hardware design mainly took the ARM series chip LPC2103 as the main controller of smart car, and combined with the results of analysis of the function modules to determine the corresponding circuit design, then expanded peripheral circuits of the main control chip. And the software design mainly focused on the ranging and game boundary identification of smart car, according to these detection signals, smart car controller could control speed and direction to play game freely and flexibly.(3) The analysis and improvement of image segmentation method. The thesis studied and analyzed several commonly used image segmentation algorithm, for the characteristics of the color image classified clearly, many iterations and heavy computation of existing algorithms, combined with the requirement of smart car game control system, proposed an improved region segmentation algorithm. The algorithm adopted the fuzzy processing on color classification, reduced the color classification, meanwhile, greatly reduced the system computational and improved the running speed of computer. Through the MATLAB software simulation, the results showed that improved region segmentation algorithm could extract and recognize image color as well as meet the requirement of real-time of the system.(4) The design of PC monitoring system.Visual Basic language was used to develop and design the PC monitoring system platform, by designing serial port communication program between coordinator node and PC monitoring system to realize the uploading and distribution of system data. Meanwhile, monitoring personnel could send start command with function button on monitoring interface, and determined whether the command sent successfully through the color change.Through the online debugging, wireless communication network could transmit system data in real-time, and upload smart cars' identity information and motion state to the monitoring interface timely, and smart cars could realize game function.
