The Research And Design Of Smart Eco Home Based On Internet Of Things

With the rapid development of social economic and change of family demographicand network technology of communication and information, people’s requirements to theefficiency, comfort and safety of daily life are gradually increasing, which results to thesharp demand for smart home. A high quality product of smart home will not only meetsome basic needs for people’s life, but also they should have a practical function, a wideapplication scope and a diverse service. It is a great goal to produce a simple, convenient,practical and safe smart home product.In recent years, network technology has been developed and become an importantpart in people’s life. It provides favorable conditions for smart home, and smart home hasbeen an importance branch of network applications. The development of applications onnetwork technology will drive the rapid development of smart home, and the smart homesystem progresses in the direction of network, information technology and intelligence.The development of network technology provides the conditions for the fasterprogress of smart home. In addition, smart home will continually develop as thecountry’s continued investment in the network technology. At the same time, rules of themart home industry will go hand in hand with the gradual introduction of the relatedstandards for network technology.In this research work, network technology is firstly introduced into smart homesystem. There are there main research contents as follows:1. We described the history and current status of the smart home, summed up thevarious types of smart home, analyze the possibility and advantages of networktechnology in the application of smart home and proposed the concept of smart homecontrol system based on the wireless network technology.2. Multiple network technology such as Zigbee, embedded, GPRS and others werecombined together in our research work. A novel concept of smart home based onnetwork technology was proposed to communicate the outside and inside of the home,which includes the zigbee to control the network inside the home, the GPRS/GSM tocontrol the network outside home and the embedded system of ARM+linux as the master communication.3. We carefully studied technologies such as Zigbee, ARM, linux and GPRS;ported Uboot and Clinux to the processor of ARM LPC2290; prepared the relevantapplication procedure based on Crossbow’s zigbee node; achieved the simple functionfor a short message to control the collection of home environment.
