Wide-Range Liquid Level Measuring System Based on Magnetostrictive uses Magnetostrictive effect and inverse Magnetostrictive effect to measure liquid level. It is widely used in oil industry?chemical industry and shipping field to measure liquid level of all kinds of Large tank storage devices. Comparing other measuring ways, it has many advantages such as wide range, high precision, non-contact, good repeatability and stability. Less Domestic compared with foreign research in Wide-Range Liquid Level Measuring System Based on Magnetostrictive, domestic market is dominated by foreign products.First, this paper introduces the Working Principles of this system, and tells the advantages of using DPS(TMS320F2809) as MCU.Second, give the structure design of the system and analysis the key problems in the system design which contain The generation of high intensity pulse?acquisition signal of detecting coil, amplification of weak signal, reduction of interference signal, measuring of liquid level and decrease of power consumption. Third, build this system from hardware and software. Hardware circuit mainly contains power circuit, Analog circuit and digital circuit. Power circuit is combined with DC-DC boost and DC-DC buck switching power supply; Analog circuit consists of circuit generating of high intensity pulse, circuit magnifying of weak signal circuit,4-20mA communication circuit; digital circuit mainly contains DSP (TMS320F2809) peripheral circuit, RS85 communication circuit, PWM amplitude conversion circuit and JTAG simulation circuit. Software design is combined with initialized program, ADC program, PWM program and data processing program; All programs compiled using language C, is built and debugged in Code Composer Studio V5.4. Last, we structure measurement environment to calibrate this liquid level measuring system, and analysis the related characteristics of liquid level measurement system.Experiments show that this Wide-Range Liquid Level Measuring System Based on Magnetostrictive is able to measure long distance and has many advantages such as high precision, good repeatability and stability. It can better meet the need of industry for high accuracy measuring system in a wide range and has wide application prospect.
