There are many other scholars discussed the mapping software, such as CorelDraw, Illustrator, MapInfo, Microsoft Office Visio software, software that is not familiar to teachers, geography teachers in need starting from scratch is time-consuming and will undoubtedly increase the burden on a daily variety of geography teachers. Word software is simple and for geography teachers ' daily work, they are familiar with interfaces, operations on Word software, and Microsoft is constantly improving Word's drawing tools to enhance its drawing functions, enabled it to meet geography teachers' need of images in the process work, professional mapping software sometimes may not be able to achieve the effect of simple and convenient as Word drawing.This paper uses the literature research, questionnaire survey, comparative analysis and case analysis, etc. to expand this research. This paper is divided into five parts: The first part describes the background of this paper from the demandgeography teachers' professional quality development, the importance of teaching the map, geographic information technology development requirements and the Word drawing feasibility aspects. The main purpose of this study is hoping that Word drawing to enhance teachers' professional skills, promote application of information technology in the geographical drawing, and then to some extent,promote the reform of middle school geography teaching. Finally, analyze of the current geographical image production and research status of the application and found that drawing map is mostly using GIS software in foreign countries at present,and most studies focus on the tips and methods of Word drawing and its theoretical research, which provides new opportunities for research. The second part is to explore the geography graphics and geography teacher's drawing skills. And from the Word draws the geographic point to view a geographical definition and classification of images.
