With the development of the economy and accelerating urbanization process,the number of high-rise buildings increases and the elevator plays a crucial role in the high-rise building as a vertical transport.The research on elevator control and management system in the high-rise buildings becomes an hot spot in academic circles at home and abroad because of the relatively complex demanding situation of the elevator. In recent years,low carbon life and the environmental protection is advocated. Optimizing the elevator dispatching has become urgent problems in elevator industry since the elevator is a primary power device in the buildings. Although the algorithm research on elevator group control has made great achievements, there are still a lot of unnecessary energy consumption problem in the daily operation of the elevator.In order to optimize the elevator dispatching and solve the problems about unnecessary energy consumption of elevator running,this article proposes energy-saving elevator control system based on machine vision under a large number of experimental research on the recently running status of the elevator. The acquisition system constructed can obtain the real-time video image within elevator car and waiting elevator hall. Then the computer processes the image received and judges if there is any people.As auxiliary signal,the judgment will be transmitted to the elevator's PLC control system. Finally the controlling of the main traction motor can be realized to avoid the invalid operation and unnecessary stops. This system optimizes the elevator dispatching and saves the energy consumption.The main chapters of the thesis are as follows:(1) Proposed energy-saving elevator control scheme based on machine vision technology.(2) The real-time acquisition of the elevator car and the waiting hall can be achieved by the construction of the image acquisition system.The image processing results are transmitted to the PLC,so the main traction motor for elevator can be controlled.(3) Research on image processing method of the elevator car and elevator hall.Specific algorithm is proposed and verified by programming.(4) Analyse experimental results and it is concluded that energy saving elevator control system based on machine vision has certain feasibility.
