A Research On Information Seeking Habitat Of Academic Users'

From the perspective of behavioral ecology, this dissertation introduces the theory of habitat to the area of information seeking in academic users. Taking the whole, contacts and develop ideas as a starting point, based on the theories of ecology, population dynamics, systems science and information ecology, using the methods of analogy research, qualitative analysis and quantitative evaluations, this dissertation explores the application of behavioral ecology on the theory of habitat on information seeking behavior of academic users by the help form the tools of biological evolution, evolutionary game theory, migration and metaphor analysis, population dynamics.The major tasks done in this study are:(1) Analysize the suitability of habitat theoretical research in information search behavior of academic users. (2) The basic theoretical issues of information seeking habitat of academic users'is set out. It concluded concept definition, components, habitat selection, ESS, adaptive learning, habitat systems. (3) Focused analyzed the driving force, the main mechanism, process of the evolution of Academic user group's information seeking habitat. Then an evolution model by spiral path of information seeking habitat of academic users'is constructed, as well as the model of the evolution of cooperation strategy of information seeking habitat of academic users'is done. (4) Suggestions for the construction of better information seeking habitat are made.
