The Research On The Professional Ability Construction Of Librarians Of The Municipal Public Libraries In China

With the advent of the information age,libraries need new service and service concept to meet customers' needs who are in the transition phase,which bring forward more demands and challenges to librarians,especially the librarians of the public libraries.Librarians of the municipal public libraries is important force in the librarians team,their professional abilities are more crucial while their stakeholders are wider and of multi-demands.After I read a large number of literature and research on the basis of data,select the professional ability construction of librarians of the municipal public libraries as the research subject.On the basis of researching achievements,I built evaluation model of librarians of public libraries and make evaluations on librarians of the municipal public libraries.This paper is divided into the following six chapters:Chapter One: Introduction,introduces the research background,significance,research methods,the present situation of domestic and overseas research on librarians evaluation.Chapter Two: The analysis of influencing factors of librarians of public libraries,which make a theoretical groundwork to building evaluation model of librarians of public libraries.In this chapter,I define the professional ability and librarians' professional ability,and analysis its contents and influencing factors.Chapter Three: Building evaluation system of librarians of Public Library by a series of methods and make evaluations on librarians of the municipal public libraries.Chapter Four: According to the analysis of survey results,I put forward some ways to improve professional ability of librarians of the municipal public libraries.Chapter Five: The conclusion of the summarizes on the present research,expounding theinnovations of the study,and the deficiency of this article.
